Contractor Qutub Uddin has abused journalist SK Das Sumon on Facebook Live for the footpath in Srimangal in Moulvibazar. The administration assured the investigation after the video went viral
Moulvibazar, June 12, 2021:
A contractor has publicly abused journalist SK Das Sumon for leaking irregularities in the construction of the footpath. The incident took place in the Guhrod area of Srimangal in Moulvibazar, yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
Journalist Sumon, Srimangal representative of Kalbella magazine, shows live that the amount of sand is higher than the cement used in the work, which indicates the construction deficit. It was then that the contractor Qutub Uddin came and abused him in obscene language. The incident is clearly visible in the viral video of 5 minutes 5 seconds.
Journalist's statement:
"I had been calling from the morning with this irregularity. So let's come live to keep proof. The contractor made abusive comments not only about me but also the journalist society."
He said the police were preparing to complain to the police station.
Position of Administration:
Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Islam Uddin said, "I have received complaints, and action will be taken."
Locals complained:
"The previous tiles were good. Now the new quality is working. No one to see these."
