Sydney, Australia, June 2, 2025 – Popular Bangladeshi band Miles captivated Sydney, Australia. The band wowed the audience with their extraordinary performance at a special ‘Gala Night’ organized by Bangladeshi doctors living in Sydney last Saturday (May 31). It was a unique gathering of music and medical services.
This exceptional event was organized by the Bangladesh Medical Society New South Wales (BMENSW). Miles is currently in Sydney on a four-day tour and this special event by the doctors is part of their ongoing world music tour. After this tour, the group will travel to the United States.
Miles’ live music event was held at a five-star venue in Sydney. The stage, lighting, sound—everything had the touch of the highest quality technology. Keeping the family-oriented audience in mind, there was a safe children's corner, face painting artists, and separate entertainment for children, so that parents could enjoy the magic of Miles's music without any worries.
Miles members expressed their joy at being able to participate in this event. In an interview with Prothom Alo, one of the Miles members, Manam Ahmed said, "This arrangement by the doctors was a great honor for us. I am proud to see the success of so many Bangladeshi doctors in Sydney. And I would like to thank Dr. Faizur Reza Emon for his tireless work." 1
Another member of the band, Hamin Ahmed, said, "Just as music touches the soul of a person, medicine also heals the body as well as the mind. In today's arrangement, we saw the union of two forces at once—music and service. Such a union is not seen very often." 2
The organizing organization, Bangladesh Medical Society New South Wales, said that this concert was a unique evening of music, memories, and a meeting of generations. The Bangladeshis living in Sydney danced and sang along to Miles's familiar songs and immersed themselves in a nostalgic evening. Such events build bridges among Bangladeshis living abroad and make the country's culture shine brighter abroad.
