DHAKA, June 7, 2021 - A year ago, after being appointed to the service, the candidates who were released after the training announced the programs demanding reinstatement in their jobs. From Monday (June 2), they will observe the program at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka and plan to follow the program in front of the National Press Club and Police Headquarters in phases.
The apprentice SIs made the decision at a press conference organized by Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Sunday (May 7th). They demanded that the police headquarters be reinstated as per the recommendations of the committee.
SI candidate Nafizul Islam read the written statement at the press conference. He said that from June 7, 2021, the six -year basic training of the apprentice began. Very successfully they completed this training. The police headquarters then investigated them about them and recommended them to reinstate them. Based on this, the decision was taken to reinstate their service from the senior police authorities and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
However, they have been waiting for their reinstatement for the last one year. Nafizul Islam alleged that the final notification on the reinstatement was not being issued despite all this. This longevity is making them mentally and financially disastrous.
SI candidate Mehdi Hassan said, "We have been tough training for a year and have succeeded in it. We have not found any serious flaws, but we have been mentioned in the recommendation of the committee. It is not understandable to us why we are not getting the appointment." He sought the Prime Minister's intervention and said, "If the Hon'ble Prime Minister gives this regard, thousands of our families will benefit."
The agitator SIra said they will stay at the Central Shaheed Minar from 9am on Monday (June 2) tomorrow. From there their next program will be announced. The program is expected to participate in the program.
They also said that their movement would continue peacefully. They also warned that they would be forced to give more rigorous programs if they were not reinstated. The future of thousands of families is now dependent on this decision.
