| New game in Gaza: Attacks against Hamas, but who is doing it? |

The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has added a new dimension. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that they have activated some local Palestinian tribes in Gaza in the fight against Hamas. This is the first time that Israel has publicly admitted that they are working with anti-Hamas Palestinian groups.
Following this announcement, a group called "Popular Forces" led by Yasser Abu Shabaab has emerged in the Rafah region of Gaza. They claim to be protecting food distribution centers with Israeli support. However, this group has been accused of looting humanitarian aid.
Hamas has warned the Palestinians against these groups, calling them "Israeli-backed militias".
Meanwhile, Hamas has said that it is ready to hold new talks for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. They did not reject the proposal by US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, but rather made some observations and amendments.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached its peak. More than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed so far, and almost the entire population has been displaced.
